1st Day of School

So, school has started here again, already.  The older 3's first day was Aug 12th, and Mia's was Aug 16th.  I can not believe that I have an 8th grader, a 5th grader, a 2nd grader and a last year of preschooler.  Where has the time gone?  I wish my babies would stay babies!  Here they are on their first day of school:

And on another note, my kids seem to have grown like weeds all of the sudden, especially Nic and Serena (and their feet!)  In Jan., Serena wore a size 11 shoe and Nic wore around a size 3.5.  Now, Serena wears a size 1 and Nic wears a size 5!!!  His feet are as big as mine (and he's only 10).  I had to take Serena to buy a new pair of tennis shoes last week (since her old ones were a size 12, oops) and Dan and I were lauging because she has these big feet, and skinny little legs.  I mean, I don't think she weighs 50 lbs yet!  So, here is a pic of her and her big feet:

Deedah Trailer

I really, really want to see this movie!  It is about a girl whose younger brother has Down syndrome and what life is like for her.  It looks so good and I know my kids are the same way with Mia.  Deedah is the little boy's nickname for his sister.  Mia has nicknames for her siblings, too.  Brianna is "Lala", Nic is "Bubba" and Serena is "Bup."  Wish we knew where she came up with "Bup!"  Anyway, I wanted to share this with you.  It definitely made me cry.

A Photo Shoot

I've been meaning to get the kids all fancied up and take pictures of them all summer.  I finally got around to it on July 30th.  Nothing like waiting until there's less than 2 weeks before school starts, huh?  Anyway, we got some good pics and some not so good pics.  Thankfully, digital cameras allow me to share just the good pics, lol!  So, without further ado, here are some of the better pics.

A birthday

So, last week Brianna turned 13.  Yikes!  Can you believe it?  I sure can't.  Time sure has flown by.  We took her to TGI Friday's for her birthday dinner and they made her come out to the middle of the restaurant and stand on a chair while they sang happy birthday to her!  It was so great.  Unfortunately, my camera on my phone didn't turn on fast enough and I missed getting any pics of it.  They did offer to do it again, so I could get some pics, but Brianna refused.  I wonder why?

We Are Blogging...or at least attempting to.

So, I've decided to give this whole blogging thing a go.  With family and friends all over, I figured this would be a good way to let everyone know what's going on with our family and whatnot.  I can't promise that it will be interesting, but it will be us.  Sound good?  Ok.
