Christmas Card Pictures

So, on Monday, the kids had a snow day.  Yuck!  Anyway, I finally decided to get my rear in gear and take some pics of the kids for our Christmas cards.  And yes, I've already gotten them and sent them out.  Go me!  So, here are some of the pictures I got.  Miss Mia was being especially difficult that day and was making face after face after face, etc.  Oh!  On the subject of said crazy child, we had our church Christmas party Friday, the 10th.  Santa was there and the kids (well, the younger 2) were going to sit on his lap.  I didn't get to go with them because I was helping get the food and tables set up, but Brianna took them.  I was frustrated because I wasn't going to get any pics of Serena or Mia sitting on his lap.  The good news is that I didn't really miss anything.  Mia took one look at Santa, said, "No way!" and took off running.  She loves Santa, but only from afar.  I love my crazy girl!

Mia

Our Ward Christmas party was today and Mia was being...well, Mia.  She ran from Santa saying, "No way!" and wouldn't cooperate (well, the way I wanted her to, anyway) for a picture.

December

So, the week after Thanksgiving was a huge bust for our family.  We got a horrid stomach flu.  Especially poor Mia.  She had it for 5 days!  No fun for mommy.  We did manage to get the Christmas tree up and the family room decorated.  Then, yesterday, we had our first "real" snowfall.  The kids had a blast playing out in the snow!  Mia finally got into the snow thing, too.  Enough that she through a snowball at ME!!!  Traitor!

The finished product.  They did this almost completely by themselves this year:

And this is the snowman Nic did almost completely by himself.  Brianna had to help him lift up the final piece because his arms were so sore!  And then Brianna "decorated" the snowman:

HALLOWEEN!

I love Halloween!  I love the costumes, I love the pumpkins, everything!  This year was a little harder, because Nic could not decide what he wanted to be (other than a HALO masterchief) and that costume cost $50.  Ummmm...NO!  And I wanted Mia to be Jessie from Toy Story, but she wanted to be Buzz Lightyear.  That problem was solved when someone let us borrow a Buzz costume for free.  Best kind of costume!  Serena had decided on being a pioneer months ago and Brianna made up her own "goth girl" costume.  She and Dan stayed home and handed out they candy while I took Nic, Serena and Mia around the neighborhood.  (Somehow I think I got the rough end of the deal).  Anyway, it was a blast and we have way too much candy!
